Features and application:
Cold-working die steel, carbon tool steel is a better than the overall mechanical properties of low-alloy tool. High hardness and wear resistance, hardenability is also better when little deformation hardening. Suitable for production of small-scale cold-working die, in particular the various requirements for production of small deformation, wear high-precision measuring tools (such as the model, block gauge, gauge, etc.) as well as precision screws, grinding spindle and so on.
Chemical Composition:
C: 0.85 ~ 0.95
Si: ≤ 0.40
Mn: 1.70 ~ 2.00
S: ≤ 0.030
P: ≤ 0.030
Ni: to allow the residual content of ≤ 0.25
Cu: to allow the residual content of ≤ 0.30
V: 0.10 ~ 0.25
Mechanical Properties:
Hardness: Annealing, ≤ 229HB, indentation diameter of ≥ 4.0mm; quenching, ≥ 62HRC
Heat treatment parameters and microstructure:
Standard heat treatment: quenching, 780 ~ 810 oil-cooling.
Delivery status: Delivery of steel to annealing.
